Slip & Slide

                                             Slip & slide
Kia ora bloggers, On Thursday we had Slip And Slide. I don't think that you don't know what slip and slide is so I will tell you. Slip And slide is a long slide that ends at the bottom of a hill or it ends on a flat surface, Anyway we had to split into partners and I was with Jeremiah my best friend/class mate. We had to split in partners because each of us could both get a turn on trying the slip and slide after we were split into partners they told us how to slide down the long slide, so the told us to slide with our belly's,bottom, and to not run on the slide because we would either cause a head injury if we all went together. So then it was our turn to go on the slide it was really fun and all when I was Sliding down the slide but lots of people weren't out of the slide so on the first time I slid down with Jeremiah. Then my head hit Jeremiah's foot then we kept sliding down the slide 5 times I think. Then after that we had to have our last turn on the slide which counted as 6 times at our last round then it was the end for us at the slip and slide and that was our amazing cold day, stay safe blog ya later.

Skateboarding

THUMP! The sound of a skateboard stopping by a foot . I thought this was going to be another boring Friday with maths, reading and writing but no. Instead we did skate boarding! I was quite nervous. I  have never really skateboarded before so I thought this was going to be the day I needed help on everything but I didn't need any help! As soon as we were lent out a skateboard I was already and set to go. It was all happy and things until I saw the the ramp looking at me - really freaky. So we got started and we learnt the basics of skateboarding and they told us a bunch of things such as, do you know how to ride a skateboard with one foot. What we learnt: how to balance with one foot on the skateboard,  how to bend backwards and frontwards and how you swivel the skateboard. After we learned these things we did some tricks like putting your foot near the edge and turning around and after that our fun little session ended. I hope you enjoyed reading about our amazing day. Blog ya later. Check out the photos too!!!

Can you tell which is the Original? Summer learning Journey.

Can you tell which is the Original?

✨Hey Bloggers, today we had an amazing time working on a summer learning journey activity. I am pretty sure you have heard of it but if you do not it means that in summer you get to do some fun activities in the summer example like doing art and learning some strategies on maths equations, I recommend that you should use summer learning journey to have some fun.So today I did an activate on art and what I did for today was colouring in pictures that were already drawn in a virtual sketchbook.

I found out that this activity was really fine and it is really cool to try if you are bored or if you are really stressed because if you are stressed you can try this out then you will start to calm down a little bit.So you can try this colouring in sketchbook at this link. But if you have some spare time you could look at my art on which I did not or I did, Can you tell which is the original or which one is mine one of the pictures has my colouring on it can you see it or spot it out for me if you can please leave a comment down below if you know which is mine?Blog ya later

Big-bike traning

                        Big-foot bike training

Hey Bloggers,Today we had big-foot biking training . I was really excited because we got to start bike training if you do not know I LOVE Biking because its my favourite hobby the reason why its my favourite hobby its because it gives you lots of experiences and excersize and adventures around the world biking saves the environment.

I have some experiences from bike riding because I biked  all the way from mission bay to Kelly Carlton, But anyway I have learn't some new skills from big-foot bike riding I have learn't going around circles and going slow around corners.our calls had to sessions of big-foot bike riding so we each go to a person so there was Ella and John I went with Ella because we had been chosen for a team.

I think we all know that biking is way more cooler then doing P.E if you know what I mean, Bike riding is more funner then P.E because you don't have to run you just have to push the pedal on the bike so if you have spare time you could maybe go on bike riding because its way more fun. Thank you for looking at my blog I will look forward to look at your comments

There are some photo's and videos below

🛹Skateboarding🛹

                                                         ðŸ›¹Skateboarding🛹

Hey Bloggers,Today we had 2 sessions of skateboarding I had a really fun time doing skateboarding. The thing that was great from skateboarding was doing some tick tacks, crab walks, and last of all whats the time Mr Wolf. I thought those were really fun because they were really hilarious when we kept having to stop and pause for Mr wolf.      It was also really fun when we learnt some new skills such as balancing on our    skateboards, trying to turn on the skateboards, and learning how to put one foot on the skateboard as well.

I also learnt a new skill it was having a growth mindset, and learning how to put one foot on the skateboard, also learning how to put on foot on the skateboard and letting the other foot go frontwards. Some of our classes have been gaining more knowledge about how to ride skateboard and focus your eyes on the concrete so your skateboard does not go all over the place. Having a growth mindset means that you can be confident and try your best in that thing and having a fixed mindset means that you don't have confidence in doing that thing, so don't give up and give it a try. I think the challenging thing was doing the crab walk it is also really challenging when you have new skills to try out. and that was our amazing and fun day doing skateboarding.

T-here are some photo's down below for you to see make sure to check it out.

Waikowhai Primary School Production.

Our Production

Hey Bloggers Today I am going to talk about our school production for this year. Our school production was called Jasmine and Aladdin. My role in the production was Market Place kid which steals stuff from the market place. We spent 13 weeks practising rehearsals. On Monday the year 5/6's went to Waikowhai Intermediate to go and practice the production in their hall. We used the props to practice. The backstage crew went in the car while the rest walked.

On Tuesday the whole school went to Waikowhai Intermediate so that they could show their dances. We had a dress rehearsal on Wednesday when Waikowhai Intermediate and Hay Park School came. They came to see our Production and be the audience. The rehearsals were really fun.

On Wednesday and Thursday and Friday night our parents came to see our show. At the end our teacher took a video of us doing the final dance. We do productions because its for fun and also so we know what we are scared of and what we are not scared of. Also we do them so we can go on stage and see if we can perform in front of a proper audience.

Here are some photos and a video

🚀WONDER PROJECT 🚀

ðŸš€ WONDER PROJECT 🚀                                                                        Kia ora blogger's, on Wednesday we had our final flight please read this.So on Wednesday we had our final flight and blasting off Waitemata's rockets. Our Rocket was named The Force And our group names was the incredible thinker's.We made some wonderful Improvements to our rocket but some how it went a little bit far it went 14.36 Meters far.My teammates who made lots of new improvements to the rocket when I was not there was,Angelina the team captain and Yousuf The Chief Engineer and faith Last but not least me the Chief Safety Officer. My team made some new fins to improve our landing and we made a new nose cone so it would fly more higher into the air,our other modifications we made to our Rocket was adding new fins to the rocket so it would fly more higher, and our other new modifications were making a new nose cone and fins so it could launch perfectly in the air and land properly on the ground so it would not break or damage any of the parts that we made to the rocket.

The amount of water we added to our rocket was 210 water height, we had to pour in water and pump it up with lots of pressure. For our rocket we used cardboard fins and a 1.5 letter bottle for our body and our nose cones we also used glue and sticky tape to stick it on to it so it would not fall off when we launch it the air. The air pressure we used to pump it was 60 psi the time in the air was 2-3 secs that so it was really bad we decided to use, wind effects to our rocket And that was our Fun and amazing day I hope you really likes it bye Bloggers.

Hi Bloggers
Today I am going to be talking about our Tivaevae if you don't know what Tivaevae is it is a piece of a quilt and they make fabric and cook island lady's make it with a lot of love. We are doing this because we are celebrating Cook Island Language week, the patterns made out of paper. We first saw what the Tivaevae had looked like and then we saw some instructions of how to make one we next saw the video of the ladies, doing it. They said they pass the tradition on to there daughter or there granddaughters so there tradition can stay a live just like how we celebrate a special tradition to our culture.they said that they either put the Tivaevae on the wall or on the floor so, Then we went and got our paper and fold it into 4 squares and get our chrome book's and start getting some patterns or flower's to our paper so it would look symmetrical and that was our day of make the special tivaevae. I will look forward to seeing your helpful thoughtful and positive comments and your blog's.see you later blogger's.

Matariki

Kia ora bloggers! Kei te pehea koe?
On Thursday the 23rd of July, Waikowhai Primary celebrated Matariki. The senior synicate did a rotation with 3 stations. The 3 stations were: making kites, baking fried bread and making maori myth animations. The students stayed in their classes.

The Second activity my class did was the manu tukutuku with Mrs Law. Everyone drew patterns on white, black, red and orange strips of paper. After that, we coloured them in with dye, crayons or pastel. We got 4 bamboo sticks and formed a triangle with a stick in the middle. We glued them together with hot glue. The we stuck the strips of paper on and put some red and black feathers at the end of the sticks. It is now hung up on the ceiling.

The last activity we did was baking fried bread with Mrs Jones. We got into groups of 5 - 7 people. We first put some self-rising flour into a bowl and then added water. We mixed it and then started kneading it. We cut it up into a few pieces and then put it onto the electric frying pan. Once it cooled down, we added some spreads on it It was delicious

The first activity we did was the maori myth animations with Ms Daly. My partner was Mariama. We decided to do an animation on the maori myth The seven sisters. It's a story about 7 brothers marrying  the 7 Patupaiarehe. The husbands worked so hard because their wives were very picky and selfish. They captured their wives a few days later and then sent them t oUru, the god of the stars. Uru sent them far, far away into the farthest of heavens. Unfortunately, Mariama and I couldn't complete it.

Thanks for reading my blogpost, I hope you enjoyed. In your free time, please leave a comment.
Blog you later, enjoy the rest of the week!!
